DALLAS (January 30, 2006) - - BEIKS LLC is happy to announce the latest update
of its popular Find extension for Palm handhelds.
BEIKS Find 1.9 adds support for Palm models capable of "focus" navigation in
forms. This concept was introduced in the popular Treo 600 phone by Handspring
and soon adopted by Palm in its Tungsten and LifeDrive PDA models, as well as
the Treo 650 smart phone.
The concept for "focus" enables users to operate the device with a single hand,
moving around the displayed controls or entering data in them, all through a
single five-way navigator hardware control, usually conveniently located at the
front of the device.
Applications not taking advantage of this capabilities are usually harder to
operate as they often require use of two hands or - at best - much more user
events in order to achieve a particular goal.
With its latest release, BEIKS Find joins the growing family of BEIKS products
for Palm that do make use of those capabilities.
This is a free upgrade to registered BEIKS Find users. The latest version
available for download at the BEIKS Find page.
The upgrade requires that older installations of BEIKS Find are first removed
from the handheld. This can be done through the "Delete" menu command found in
the main application launcher.
