DALLAS (June 23, 2003) - - Beiks LLC
announces the addition of its new InterType Greek Localization Kit to its family
of localization products. With InterType Greek Localization Kit installed on a
Palm OS 5.x PDA, users will be able to read and input Greek language characters
directly into their handhelds.
The InterType Greek Localization Kit
comes as a result of popular request by Beiks’ customers who have been using its
Greek Dictionary, as well as many other mobile professionals who have recently
upgraded to Palm OS 5 powered devices.
Concurrent with the Greek language
plug-in, Beiks also announces a new, more robust version of the core InterType
application itself, which will benefit all existing users of Beiks InterType
InterType is a set of OS extension
modules, allowing American and Pan-European versions of Palm OS 5.x to display
and accept certain additional alphabets and languages not readily available in
the basic device configuration. The program can enhance Palm OS 5.x powered
handhelds with code pages 1251 (Windows Cyrillic) and 1252 (Greek) by providing
the appropriate system fonts (standard, high resolution and Sony CLIE small
fonts) and a variety of language-specific alternate keyboards for languages such
as Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbian, Belarusian, Ukrainian and Greek.
